You've got one heck of a project there. It's a nice classic!

Was this one on craigslist?

Heatseeker,

I went to Livermore to see it on 11-4-05 and purchased it then.

There were other Sangers listed, one yellow one in Vallejo that I know of.

Brought it home on the 11th (Veterans Day) after putting on some new steel wheels and tires.

Is the top deck area wood? Looks like a fun project. Look forward to seeing progress pics and then the maiden voyage. Very Happy

Thanks JEThro,

I saw that item for sale this morning and saw one being installed on another HEMI at lunch time.

I am currently bidding on a early HEMI intake manifold and carter afb 4 bbl carburetor, vintage items.

Oldsquirt,

I have written to Mr. Bob Walker of hothemiheads. He helped me earlier with identifying an engine listed as a HEMI on 'craigslist', it turned out to be a Mopar 413.

Thanks for the other link, I will need it in the future.

Bob

Ken,

I heard that the music was loud, particulars of the concert were reviewed by KFOG.

The Spico had a 455, a newspaper article from the local library historical section said that the boats were fitted with BBC's, the stringers in the boat showed that initial installation (another set of engine mounting holes).

The seller also wanted $1K, too much for a project boat, I wanted to offered $500.00 ($700.00 tops for me).

Jennifer spend some time in Vidor, Texas helping out with the population affected by the hurricanes, she was there for two weeks working 24-7. I will mentioned that both of you said hi.

I have to pace myself with this project boat, I want to do it right, and a lot of research will help me avoid mistakes.

I have jumped into phase 3, obtaining a 1958 392 HEMI, because it was available and found locally, now I will return to phase 1 that is the hull.

Bob

Hey, neat project. Can you keep posting updates. My wifes friend has a special interest in Sanger Boats, and I would like to send her the link so she can see how it is coming. Thanks. Dave
