Took the Bitch out today. Oldsquirt came up yesterday and we hooked up the data acquisition to her. I got some baseline # to work with. 35-40 psi in the suction and 240 psi in the bowl. It pulls 1g in acceleration. Considering I have never done any setup work, those are not bad numbers. RPM ranged from 6100 to 6600.

I am happy with those numbers

Sounds like you have been guessing pretty good.

I have run BBCs with 15-16 lbs boost and 1017s for years with no problems, but I surface with CBN Diamond inserts on the block and heads. If you go to the MLS gaskets regardless of mfgr. they all recomend a CBN finish as well as the carbide broach machines just don't do the same quality job. The rough finish abrades the gasket as the engine heats and expands, then cools. Read the directions! TIMINATOR
